Rhinos Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
The So Cal Republic went down to defeat to Bob Ruíz and his Rubber City teammates. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Rhinos. Ruíz went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-1. Shinzo Sasaki finished to wrap up his 3rd save.

The Rhinos got a big at-bat from second baseman Tekkan Tanaka. For the game, Tanaka went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Rubber City a 4-2 lead.

"Enjoyed this one," Ruíz told the Rubber City Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

Rubber City, now 5-8, is off to a slow start.
