Marauders Lose to Toreros, 4-3
|
Despite a great performance by Maple first baseman Kojuro Ine, the Cabo San Lucas Toreros defeated the Marauders by the score of 4-3 at Field de Los Layendas. Ine was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Masazumi Ohayashi, credited with the win, is now 5-12. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in 6.2 innings. Cabo San Lucas is 46-72 and Maple, with the loss, 79-38.
Cabo San Lucas third baseman Kerry Hood contributed to the cause with a single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Hood went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs.
"We put together a nice win," Hood said.
