Dallas Texans starter Tony López was in fine form against the Portland Beavers at Metroplex Park, leading his team to a 5-4 win. Dallas reliever Toin Hara picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Juan Quezada absorbed the loss. Juan Vázquez was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 3 save opportunities.

Had Roger Washington not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Washington hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Texans.

"I liked his command," said Dallas manager Anastasio Ojeda. "Tony was throwing strikes."

The Texans bumped their record to 67-48 with this latest triumph.
