The New England Colonials defeated the Havana Stogies, 5-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at The Humidor, with New England pitcher John Spracklin named player of the game. Lien-ying Mar earned his 4th save in 5 chances. New England goes to 55-57, Havana to 75-38.

The Colonials beat the Stogies with some clutch hitting. The double by Luis Chávez in the top of the sixth is a good example. With two down, Chávez gave his team the lead, 5-3, when he came through with the big hit.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Chávez said after the game.
