Portland pitcher Yoshiaki Kojima did his part in helping his team beat the So Cal Republic, 7-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Beavers now have a record of 55-59.

Jeff Fosbrink aided the Portland cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the second. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
