Despite a fine performance by second baseman Danny Martinez, the San Francisco Earthquakes suffered a 6-5 loss to the Bloomington Blazers. Martinez was 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to Joachim Doucet in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Gabresilassie Cherono took the loss. The Blazers raised their record to 66-45.

The Blazers got a big at-bat from first baseman Ruben Estrada. For the game, Estrada went 2-6 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the 11th, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 21st hit of the season gave Bloomington a 6-5 lead.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Estrada told the Bloomington Times.
