Cabo San Lucas Toreros starter Masazumi Ohayashi pitched a strong game against the Vancouver Pioneers at Field de Los Layendas, leading the Toreros to a 4-2 win. The 5th-place Toreros improved to 43-70.

The Toreros got a big at-bat from first baseman Dante Deleón. For the game, Deleón was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Cabo San Lucas a 3-0 lead.

"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Ohayashi said.
