Blazers Lose, 5-3, at The Death Star
|
Georgia designated hitter Hui Pan made his presence felt in the 5-3 Grays triumph over the Bloomington Blazers. Pan was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. The winner was Georgia reliever Ramón Gómez, now 1-0. The loser was Jim Obershaw. The Grays improve their record to 53-58 with the win over Bloomington.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Pan, who is a four-time Gold Glove Award winner, hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Grays into the lead, 3-2.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Pan.
