The Las Vegas Aces bested the New England Colonials by a score of 6-5, with first baseman Jeremy Bassett getting the main credit. On the day, Bassett went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Aces. Juan Carlos Baraja finished to wrap up his 2nd save. Las Vegas is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 4th win in 12 games.

Haruki Yoshino aided the Las Vegas cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3 with a double and a walk.

"Enjoyed this one," Yoshino told the Las Vegas Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
