Mustangs Sneak Past Pioneers, 2-1

The Mile High Mustangs faced a tough opponent in Vancouver pitcher Jesús Ramos, but did just enough to pull out the victory at "The Fort" at B.C. Place by a final score of 2-1. Ramos went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The Mustangs bumped their record to 57-52 with this latest triumph.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Reece Wager. For the game, Wager went 1 for 1 with a home run. In the top of the eighth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Mile High a 2-1 lead.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Vancouver manager Dorian McNeal.
