Islanders Roll to 8-2 Win Over Hops
The Hawaii Islanders got a strong performance from pitcher Norogumi Yokoyama, who stymied the San Diego offense en route to a 8-2 win at Aloha Stadium. The Islanders bumped their record to 67-43 with this latest triumph.

The Islanders got a big at-bat from designated hitter Douglas Dannattet. For the game, Dannattet went 1-5 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 17th home run of the season gave Hawaii a 3-2 lead.

"It was a solid team effort," said Yokoyama after the game.
