A 4-RBI performance from designated hitter Gart Rook, who signed a 4-year contract worth $18,120,000 on 01/30/2034, led the Cabo San Lucas Toreros to a 8-7 win over the Maple Marauders. Rick Byrnes got the win, improving to 2-0. He held the Marauders to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 5. Tomio Nakahara locked down his 4th save.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when catcher Barry Ross, who is rated as the 84th best prospect by BNN, hit a single. The Toreros went on to win.
