Bombers Score Late, Upend Blazers, 3-2

The South Carolina Bombers picked up a win at Arson Arena, knocking off the Bloomington Blazers, 3-2. Starting pitcher Ange Schmit was an essential part of his team's success. Ed Armstrong locked down his 4th save. South Carolina, now 6-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from center fielder Rafael Campos. For the game, Campos went 1 for 3. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 14th hit of the season gave South Carolina a 3-2 lead.
"Ange was throwing strikes, locating well," said South Carolina manager Randy Huggett.
