Prowlers Edge Past Bombers, 6-5
|
South Carolina center fielder Rafael Campos had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to Oklahoma City at Memorial Circle Park. Campos went 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Oklahoma City improves to 60-45 with the win. They lead their division by 4 games.
The Prowlers were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when right fielder Luis Hernández turned a 1-1 sinker from Ed Armstrong into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Oklahoma City a thrilling 6-5 win.
"It was a solid team effort," said Hernández after the game.
