Earthquakes Prevail, 7-6, Over Quebec
|
Nobuatsu Nakashima left his imprint on the 7-6 San Francisco win against the Quebec Armada. Nakashima, who is the 6th-best prospect in the Earthquakes organization, was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. Zak Osborn picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-6. Darma Djojohadiksumo was tagged with the loss. Eddie Rosado was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 8 save opportunities.
The Earthquakes got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Alex Bahena. For the game, Bahena was 1-1 with a double. In the bottom of the seventh, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 15th double of the season gave San Francisco a 7-6 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Bahena said after the game.
Even with the win, the Earthquakes have a dismal 36-69 record.
