The Las Vegas Aces gave their fans something to talk about with a thrilling, walk-off win.
The San Diego Hops got a superb performance from pitcher Jose Rodriguez, but the Las Vegas Aces still won the game, 4-3. Rodriguez was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 3-hit ball. Roy Aitken picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Mitsuzuka Koyama was tagged with the loss.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Las Vegas third baseman Jorge Rodríguez, facing Mitsuzuka Koyama, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Aces the 4-3 win.
"This place was rockin'," said Rodríguez.
Las Vegas is now 37-65, San Diego 43-61.
