The Dallas Texans defeated the Havana Stogies, 9-4, at The Humidor. Dallas right fielder Akio Ishii was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 3-5 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Paul Johnston got credit for the win, improving to 2-3. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits in 6.2 innings. The Texans bumped their record to 61-43 with this latest triumph.

Ishii had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the second, when he hit a 2-run single. The Texans went on to win.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Ishii.
