Seattle starter Dennis Montgomery pitched effectively against the Vancouver Pioneers at Sick's Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. Hisataro Sato got the save, his 20th in 25 chances. Seattle has now won 3 straight, while the Pioneers have lost 6 in a row.
