Black Knights Lose to Grays, 6-1
|
The Georgia Grays bested the Brooklyn Black Knights, 6-1, at The Death Star. German Salazar was named player of the game. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Takeshi Gato, the winner, improved to 3-7. He held the Black Knights to no earned runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Sawao Yoshimura notched his 1st save in 2 chances.
Bronson Patterson chipped in for Georgia with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
