Blazers, Islanders Play 13 to Settle Game 2, Bloomington Now Leads Series 2-0
With right-hander John Now leading the charge, the Bloomington Blazers got past the Hawaii Islanders, 3-1, in extra innings in Game 2 of the ABL World Series today. Now came in in relief and pitched to 18 batters at Aloha Stadium as Bloomington managed to take to a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Levi Meeuwenberg had a nice at-bat for the Blazers with no one out in the top of the tenth. With the bases empty, the designated hitter drew a walk, which would prove important in the Bloomington win.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Now said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

Game 3 is set to be played Thursday at Arson Arena in Bloomington. The scheduled starters for the game are Mikey Altman for the Hawaii Islanders and Pedro Vazquez for the the Bloomington Blazers.
