Raucous House of the Republic Crowd Propels Republic to 6-1 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The So Cal Republic and the Hawaii Islanders will take the League Pennant to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Republic beat the Islanders 6-1 at House of the Republic to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. So Cal left-hander Tanner Johnson was named player of the game in the win after he threw 6 innings allowing 1 run.

Kawanari Takahashi, who won the Most Valuable Player Award in 2027, aided the So Cal cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter drove in one run.

"This is truly a great team to play with," Johnson said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at House of the Republic. Slated to start are Ehrich Weiss for the Hawaii Islanders and Felipe Rodríguez for the the So Cal Republic.
