Eisner, Rats Wallop Shamrocks in Game 5 of R2
The Rock River Rats have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Pacifica Shamrocks, winning 7-4 at McCormick Field today. Rats designated hitter Ben Eisner was named player of the game after he went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The win cuts the deficit facing the Rats to 3-2 in the best-of-7 Double A World Series.

Rock River grabbed control in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Bob Nisbet delivered a 2-run double, to make it 6-4 in favor of the Rats.

"We're happy," Eisner told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is scheduled for Tuesday, October 31st, 2034 at The Rat Hole. The scheduled starters for the game are Jose Artola for the Pacifica Shamrocks and Clement Bowden for the the Rock River Rats.
