Road Win Lifts Pacifica to 2-0 Lead in R2
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of designated hitter Ricardo Aragon, the Pacifica Shamrocks got a road win against the Rock River Rats, 7-5, in Game 2 of the Double A World Series today. Aragon went 3-5 with 3 singles for the Shamrocks, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.
Tucson, Arizona-born Bobby Savoy came through in the clutch. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st and the Shamrocks trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run to right to put Pacifica on top.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Pacifica manager Joe Leftwich.
Game 3 is scheduled for Friday, October 27th, 2034. Slated to start are José López for Rock River and Yeong-sam Yi for Pacifica.
