Almost There: Bloomington On Cusp of R3 Triumph After 5-3 Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of shortstop Fernando Franco, the Bloomington Blazers got a road win against the Quebec Armada, 5-3, in Game 4 of the League Pennant today. Franco was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Blazers, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

Levi Meeuwenberg helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to give Bloomington a 2-0 lead.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Franco said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Lucky 7 Ballpark in Quebec City. The scheduled starters for the game are Salah bin Atif for Bloomington and Adhipa Vemireddy for Quebec.
