Turner, Hackers Wallop Shamrocks in Game 3 of R1
|
The Silicon Valley Hackers have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Pacifica Shamrocks, winning 7-3 at McCormick Field today. Hackers right fielder J.P. Turner was named player of the game after he slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win cuts the deficit facing the Hackers to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Double A League Championship.
Turner had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Hackers went on to win.
"Feels good to get the job done," Turner said after the game.
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at McCormick Field in Pacifica. Slated to start are António Domínguez for Silicon Valley and Yeong-sam Yi for Pacifica.
