Williams, River Chiefs Wallop Mustangs in Game 2 of R1

The Single A League Championship is tied at 1 games apiece, thanks to a dramatic walk-off victory at The Reservation today for the Chippewa River Chiefs.
24-year-old catcher Tommy Williams was the star for Chippewa, as he went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice in the The Reservation contest. The 8-7 Chippewa triumph allowed the team to even the best-of-7 series with the San Angelo Mustangs at 1-1.
Brian Arms, who is rated as the 86th best prospect by BNN, contributed to the Chippewa win with a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 1 run batted in.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Williams told the Chippewa Citizen.
The next game is scheduled for Tuesday, October 17th, 2034. Slated to start are Jason Bouge for the Chippewa River Chiefs and David Benitez for the the San Angelo Mustangs.
