Texans Get Road Win, 5-1
|
The Dallas Texans stymied the Bloomington Blazers, 5-1, at Arson Arena. Michael Fitzgerald, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Dallas. Dallas reliever John Holmes was credited with the win, to go to 6-5. Salah bin Atif took the loss for Bloomington. Toin Hara, credited with the save, is now 6 for 6 in save opportunities.
Fitzgerald had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the first, when he hit a grand slam. The Texans went on to win.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Bloomington manager Javier Ramírez.
Bloomington, at 56-40, has lost 4 straight.
