Sheffield Sensational for Hornets
Pat Sheffield never let the Sasquatch get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Hornets to a 3-1 win. Eureka occupies last place in the Thurman Munson League Sparky Anderson Division at 46-53.

Sheffield was effective against the Sasquatch, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Seattle to just 1 run on 3 hits over 8 innings.

Sheffield said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
