Sabercats Need Extras to Top Nutcrackers

Sedona pitcher Juan Centeno did his part in helping his team beat the Normal Nutcrackers, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The win was credited to Cullen Wetmore in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Tommy Delgado took the loss. Even with the win, the Sabercats have a dismal 20-38 record.
Sedona won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With two outs and Tommy Delgado on the mound for Normal, center fielder Jesus Mendoza hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Sabercats fans to their feet.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Mendoza said.
