The Georgia Grays defeated the Eureka Hornets, 8-7. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter Mike McCaw, who was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Georgia reliever Kent Whitten got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Alim bin Umar was tagged with the loss. Matt Comrie converted his 26th save in 30 tries.

Tadataka Yoshino, who is tied for 10th in the TML in home runs with 22, chipped in for Georgia with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
