Costello Goes Distance in 9-1 Win
|
The Yuma Varmits got a stellar performance from pitcher Chris Costello, who handcuffed the Wichita offense en route to a 9-1 win at The Storm Center. The Varmits bumped their record to 32-26 with this latest triumph.
Costello was effective against the Storm, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Wichita to just 1 run on 1 hit over 9 innings.
"I liked his command," said Yuma manager Adam Haddox. "Chris was throwing strikes."
