Kings Continue Skid Thanks to Hoene, Grognards
Chase Hoene batted in 3 runs to lead St. Paul to a win over Lumber. The final score was 6-3. Hoene chipped in with 1 single and 2 home runs. The winner was Danny Moreno, who threw 113 pitches over 8 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 5 hits. Jon Simmons, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save.

Hoene had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-1 cutter from Pat Welch, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Grognards a 4-3 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Hoene.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Hoene said.
