Bombers Get Road Win, 5-2
|
South Carolina and San Francisco duked it out at Golden Gate Park and the Bombers came out victorious.
South Carolina right-hander Vincenzo Rizzoli made an effective start against the San Francisco Earthquakes at Golden Gate Park, leading his team to a 5-2 win. Ed Armstrong, credited with the save, is now 25 for 27 in save opportunities.
Kaihei Green, who is rated as the 96th best prospect by BNN, aided the South Carolina cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4.
In postgame comments to the South Carolina Chronicle, Green said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The Bombers bumped their record to 51-44 with this latest triumph.
