Leiby Helps Totems Run Win Streak to 3
|
It was a good time at Royal Athletic Park, where fans came to watch the St. Paul Grognards and Victoria Totems get after it.
Behind a solid performance from right fielder T.J. Leiby, the Victoria Totems defeated the St. Paul Grognards, 7-3. Leiby was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Totems. Lance Rose got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 6 innings.
Leiby had a key at-bat for Victoria early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and gave Victoria an early 4-0 lead.
Leiby attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
Victoria has now won 3 in a row.
