|
Vancouver right-hander Kenko Samurakami made an effective start against the Maple Marauders at "The Fort" at B.C. Place, leading his team to a 4-2 win. Carlos Solís got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. Today's win puts Vancouver at 45-50, while Maple falls to 64-31.
Tofeeq Kuchis chipped in for Vancouver with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
In postgame comments to the Vancouver Observer, Kuchis said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
