Colonials Get Past Santa Fe for 4-3 Win
|
It was pandemonium at Skellington Stadium after an exciting walk-off win.
New England right-hander Mauro Rodríguez made an effective start against the Santa Fe Fuego at Skellington Stadium, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Juan Vázquez got credit for the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings.
Harold Planter hit a run-scoring double off Jun'ichi Suzuki in the bottom of the ninth, which put the Colonials in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Planter had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"This place sure got loud," said Todd Belcher, the New England manager.
The losing skid has reached 7 games for Santa Fe.
