St. Paul Grognards starter Tony Aaron pitched a strong game against the Rosewell Tribbles at The Thunderdome, leading the Grognards to a 5-2 win. Aaron went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 6-4. Jon Simmons earned the save, his 2nd, for the Grognards.

The Grognards got a big at-bat from center fielder Devon O'Shields. For the game, O'Shields went 1 for 4. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 30th hit of the season gave St. Paul a 3-2 lead.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said St. Paul manager John Rodney.
