Grognards Score Late to Upend Tribbles, 5-4
The St. Paul Grognards downed the Rosewell Tribbles, 5-4, at The Thunderdome. The Grognards were led by Chase Hoene, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Jon Simmons was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. St. Paul goes to 16-29, Rosewell to 22-23.

Hoene contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for St. Paul in the bottom of the eighth. With his team trailing 4-1, Hoene took a curveball from Alfredo Arenas and stroked the home run to left. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Grognards to leap in front, 5-4.

"I was a little disappointed," said Rosewell manager Anthony Mays. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
