Colonials Stymie Las Vegas, Take 3-1 Win
|
The New England Colonials got a magnificent effort from pitcher John Spracklin, who kept Las Vegas hitters in check en route to a 3-1 Colonials win at Skellington Stadium. New England reliever Lien-ying Mar picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Richard Lawson was saddled with the loss. The Aces fall to 3-7 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.
Edgardo Bustamante, who is rated as the 21st best prospect by BNN, aided the New England cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
"This team is capable of getting on a roll," said New England skipper Todd Belcher.
