Cardinals Get One-Run Win at The Stinging
|
Getting a good performance from third baseman Chris Barnhart, the Montreal Cardinals defeated the The Stinging Larvae, 6-5. Barnhart went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Cardinals. Gabe Perkins sewed up the save, his 7th. Montreal has an impressive 26-13 record.
The Cardinals got a big at-bat from right fielder Jerry Vega. For the game, Vega was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Montreal a 3-0 lead.
