Normal right-hander Cesar Alvarez pitched his team to victory over the Yuma Varmits at The Range. The final score was 3-0. Andy Kelly earned the save for Normal, his 6th of the year.

Ryosaku Nishimura aided the Normal cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the right fielder went 1-4 with a walk.

Alvarez called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
