Gardner 4-5, Leads Sabercats to Win

It was a fun time at The Lair at Sabercat Field, where the The Stinging Larvae and Sedona Sabercats tangled.
The Sedona Sabercats topped the The Stinging Larvae by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Brett Gardner. Gardner was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Sabercats on the day. Brooks Kuehn got the win, improving to 2-2. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 1. Jimmy Gregus earned the save for Sedona, his 6th of the year.
Gardner had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Seth McMahill, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Sabercats a 6-4 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for Gardner.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Gardner.
Sedona is now 14-21. The Stinging is 8-27.
