Dave McCrudden kept the St. Paul Grognards hitters off balance all game long as the Wichita Storm pitcher blanked the Grognards, 2-0.

McCrudden gave up 1 hit, struck out 8 and walked 1. In the postgame press conference, the left-hander was reluctant to talk about the outing at length.

"It was a nice win in a long season," he said. "I don't want to dwell too much on it."

Up to now McCrudden has compiled an ERA of 2.81 with a 5-2 mark over 7 starts. He has 40 strikeouts in 57.2 innings and has held opponents to a .199 batting average.
