Watanabe Helps Black Knights Run Win Streak to 3
|
The Brooklyn Black Knights dealt the Las Vegas Aces a 8-4 loss at Sin City Stadium. Sachi Watanabe was the star on offense. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Jan Shirazi got credit for the win, improving to 7-8. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 6.2 innings. Rickey Turner, credited with the save, is now 1 for 3 in save opportunities.
With Brooklyn leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Watanabe hit a slider from Yoshiaga Rin for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Black Knights ahead, 4-0.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Watanabe.
Brooklyn now has a 3-game win streak.
