Nutcrackers Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
The Paradise Island Pirates and Normal Nutcrackers cranked it up at Predator Park.

The Normal Nutcrackers had to overcome a big game from Paradise Island first baseman Mike Stacy to leave Predator Park with a 10-6 victory. Stacy was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Normal reliever Jim Capek was the winner. His record is now 3-1. The losing pitcher was Kyle Hoage.

Bill Touchet swatted a 2-run home run for Normal in the top of the fifth. The designated hitter went 2 for 6 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.

"It was a solid team effort," said Touchet after the game.
