The Normal Nutcrackers took Wichita pitcher Dave McCrudden's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Nutcracker Suite. The final score had Normal getting past the Storm, 3-0. McCrudden went 7.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs, striking out 3. Josh Moss got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 3.2 innings. Normal is now 21-8, 3 games up in the Cecil Fielder League Fred McGriff Division.

Normal right fielder Mat Martin contributed to the cause with a single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Martin went 1-3 with a walk.
