The St. Paul Grognards got a superb performance from first baseman Dallas Fugate, but the Sedona Sabercats still won the game, 9-7. Fugate was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jimmy Gregus earned the save, his 4th. The Sabercats improved to 10-17.

The Sabercats got a big at-bat from catcher Danny Nieves. For the game, Nieves was 1 for 3 with a hit by pitch. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 2nd hit of the season gave Sedona a 7-6 lead.

"Put this one in the bank," said Nieves afterward.
