Behind a solid performance from center fielder Art Barker, the Wichita Storm defeated the Yuma Varmits, 10-5. Barker was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Storm. The Storm bumped their record to 16-8 with this latest triumph.

Barker had a key at-bat for Wichita early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was his 32nd hit of the season and gave Wichita an early 1-0 lead.
