Normal Nutcrackers starter Tony Rivera pitched a strong game against the Sedona Sabercats at The Nutcracker Suite, leading the Nutcrackers to a 8-1 win. Normal is now 17-7, 2 games up in the Cecil Fielder League Fred McGriff Division.

Mat Martin, who is tied for 10th in the CFL in extra base hits with 14, aided the Normal cause with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.
