The Maple Marauders extended their winning streak at "The Fort" at B.C. Place.

Maple starter Orlando Días pitched effectively against the Vancouver Pioneers at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. The right-hander led his team to a 9-2 win. Días got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 0 over 6.1 innings. Días allowed 1 earned run.

It could have been a different outcome for Maple, had it not been for Alejandro Marés, the 22-year old shortstop . Marés contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Maple up, 3-1.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Días.
